Day 15 of 21 Days of Creativity – DIY Dorm Week
Everyone loves a good block letter message, right?! I know I do. Most DIY projects using block letters only require you to paint them. However, with some scrapbook paper and glue, you can take your block letters to the next level.
DIY Block Letter Art
Supplies
- Block Letters
- Scrapbook paper
- Glue
- Paint (optional)
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Paintbrush
*Optional* Before following the instructions below, I painted the edges of my “S” a different color from my block letter’s original color. Feel free to do the same!
Instructions
Take a sheet of scrapbook paper and place it right side down. Lay one block letter, face down on the paper.
Trace the outline of your letter.
Cut the outlined letter from the scrapbook paper.
Paint a thin layer of glue onto the front of your block letter.
Place the paper letter on the glue. Carefully smooth the paper onto the block letter with your finger. Allow time for the block letter to dry.
Repeat the previous steps with any remaining block letters.
Now decorate! Place your block letters on top of your bookshelf, dresser or stack of textbooks. You can even hang them from the wall!

Take 15 minutes today to read, write down, and meditate on this scripture: “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4
I love these! I didn’t know how easy it this project is either. Also a great gift idea for Christmas. 🙌
