3 Habits that Will Make You a Better Crafter

With the start of the new season, I did some craft spring cleaning. I organized all of my supplies and picked up a few good habits to keep things in order. These habits have definitely made me a better crafter. I want everyone who reads this blog to become a better crafter as well, so I‘ll share them with you!

1. Only Buy Supplies You Need.

It’s hard not to go into the craft store and purchase every cute item you see. Only purchase things you need! It takes discipline, but it is doable. Supplies can be expensive and over time all those cute items add up and eat up your money and space.

2. Get Rid of Supplies You Don’t Need.

Take time to cleanse yourself of craft clutter. Throw away scraps of paper, dried glue sticks, and shabby paint brushes. Getting rid of old supplies will loosen up space and help you determine what basic crafting supplies you need.

3. Plan Your Projects.

I’ve mainly become a better crafter by planning out my projects. I write out instructions, shopping lists for supplies and any adjustments I make during the creating process. It helps me be consistent and saves time. When I go to the store, I know exactly what I need to buy AND I don’t have to switch back and forth between Pinterest and creating.
