It’s been a week since I had the honor of being in my good friend’s wedding as a bridesmaid. The ceremony was a beautiful and amazing experience. In addition to being a bridesmaid, I had the honor of helping the bride prepare the creative portion of her big day. I helped design her save the dates, wedding invitations, table centerpieces, and guest book. Keep reading to see the work!

Save the Dates & Invitations
The bride had a specific idea of what she wanted for both her save the dates and wedding invitations. I created her vision using Canva.com and Photoshop.
The wedding reception venue provided hurricane vases with a single candle on top of a circular mirror as table centerpieces. Of course, the bride and I both agreed that the tables needed more. We came up with the idea of adding a medium sized bowl vase and two glass votive holders to each table. We covered the vases in silver leaf and placed two large flowers in them. We covered the votive holders in fine silver glitter and added tea lights to them.
The bride wanted the guest book to be unconventional. It wasn’t actually a book- it was a canvas. She found an image of a canvas where a couple’s home states were united with a heart. I recreated this concept using Haiti and Bermuda (the bride and groom are Haitian and Bermudian, respectively) and wrote their names and date of marriage in paint marker. Guest signed the canvas with words of well wishes throughout the night. The newly married couple plans to hang the canvas in their new home.
It was a new and fulfilling experience to design these items and it definitely showed me what I am capable of doing wedding wise.
