Abstract Art Fall Pumpkins

Thanksgiving is a few days away which means the fall season is coming to an end. I want to share one last fall project with you before the Christmas festivities kick into full gear. Instead of a DIY tutorial, I will show you the abstract art pumpkins I created to decorate my coffee table.

I used papier-mâché pumpkins, regular craft paint, and a little creativity to make these abstract decorations. When I first purchased these pumpkins, I imagined covering them in fabric or glitter. My goal was to create an unconventional fall craft that did not include autumn colors or patterns.

I was randomly scrolling through Instagram and found two unique nail art designs. The first was cow print and the other, bold geometric shapes. I decided to recreate the designs on the pumpkins rather than my nails.

Keep scrolling for images of the creation process and final product!

I enjoyed creating these abstract pumpkins. I did not place pressure on myself to make them look exactly like the nail art. I relaxed and painted freely!
