In the age of social media, we are just one swipe away from a meme that tells us what women should do to be loved. We must be loyal, ladylike, and submissive. All while keeping up with our appearance and caring for others by cooking, cleaning, and nurturing. In reality, none of these things make you lovable especially in God’s kingdom.
God’s love is unconditional! He gives it freely and consistently because we are His daughters. God does not require anything from us in return for His love. Granted, God may not like some of the things we do, but His love still prevails. He loved us first – before we loved Him, ourselves, or anyone else. The beauty in it all is that God’s love is personified by Christ. Jesus was crucified and resurrected from the grave so that we could be forgiven of our unrighteousness and have a personal relationship with our Father.
