On the 3rd Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…a holiday garland!

In elementary school, I was a member of the school choir. I loved singing in the choir, especially around Christmas time because we would go caroling at local businesses to spread holiday cheer. And cheer is exactly what our audience felt. People were so excited to hear us sing that they shed tears of joy!

Carols are a great way to get into the holiday spirit. For Day 3 of 12 Days of Christmas, I’ll show you how to spread holiday cheer in a creative and chic way. Here’s how to make a Christmas Carol Garland!

  • Glitter paper
  • Print out of holiday song lyrics. Think “Let it snow” and “Joy to the world”. I chose “Fa la la la la” of Deck the Halls. Use Microsoft Word or Publisher to create the letters. Just type them in a large font size. For a FREE template of the FALA letters that I used, click here: FALA Letter Template
  • Twine
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • X-acto knife and scissors
  • Tape

Cut the letters from the print out.

Cut a piece of twine long enough to hold all of your letters. Lay the letters out in order and flip them over. Squeeze a dime-sized dot of hot glue onto the top, center portion of the first letter. Lay the twine in the glue and allow time for drying. Repeat these steps with the remaining letters.
