God is faithful. Although we do not always see God at work, we can know for a fact He is protecting, providing for, and guiding us. God will fulfill the promises He made to us for His glory and our good. God blesses us with the knowledge, wisdom, and resources to do His will. The process may take longer than we expect and it may bring challenges. However, God’s timing is perfect and the hardships we face build our character and prepare us for the journey ahead.
It’s not always easy to believe God’s promises for our life, but we must be encouraged and push forward. We should think of everything He has already done in our life. It is said over and over, but it is true that if God did it before, He will do it again. If that does not encourage you, then open His word! It is the best way to remind yourself of God’s faithfulness.
I have compiled twelve scriptures about God’s faithfulness. Write, meditate on, and pray over them in every season of your life. You will know without a doubt in your mind that God is faithful.
1) Hebrews 6:10 (NIV)
“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”
2) Numbers 23:19 (CEV)
“God is no mere human! He doesn’t tell lies or change his mind. God always keeps his promises.”
3) 1 Corinthians 10:13 (MSG)
“No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.”
4) 1 Peter 5:10 (CEV)
“But God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. That’s why he appointed Christ Jesus to choose you to share in his eternal glory. You will suffer for a while, but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm.”
5) Genesis 28:15 (MSG)
“Then God was right before him, saying, ‘I am God, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. I’m giving the ground on which you are sleeping to you and to your descendants. Your descendants will be as the dust of the Earth; they’ll stretch from west to east and from north to south. All the families of the Earth will bless themselves in you and your descendants. Yes. I’ll stay with you, I’ll protect you wherever you go, and I’ll bring you back to this very ground. I’ll stick with you until I’ve done everything I promised you.’”
6) Hebrews 10:23-25 (MSG)
“So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.”
7) 2 Timothy 2:13 (NIV)
“…if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.”
8) Joshua 23:14 (NIV)
“Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.”
9) Deuteronomy 7:8-9 (NIV)
“But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.”
10) Psalm 126:5 (NIV)
“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.”
11) Hebrews 13:20-21 (NIV)
“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
12) Romans 4:20-25 (CEV)
“But Abraham never doubted or questioned God’s promise. His faith made him strong, and he gave all the credit to God. Abraham was certain that God could do what he had promised. So God accepted him, just as we read in the Scriptures. But these words were not written only for Abraham. They were written for us, since we will also be accepted because of our faith in God, who raised our Lord Jesus to life. God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and he raised him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God.”
