What’s light, fluffy and crinkly?
You guessed it, tissue paper tassels! Paper tassels make great decorations for any occasion including dinner parties, weddings, baby showers and birthdays. You can make them in just about any color at a super affordable price. It only takes one sheet of tissue paper to make two tassels. Keep reading to learn how to make them!
How To Make Tissue Paper Tassels
Supplies
- Tissue paper
- Twine
- Tassels
Instructions
Take one sheet of tissue paper and lay it on a flat surface.
Fold it in half horizontally.
Fold the paper in half again, this time vertically.
Fold once more vertically. Mark a line two inches from the top of the folded paper. This will be your stopping point.
Cut one inch slits across the tissue paper. Be sure not to cut past the stopping point.
Unfold the tissue paper.
Cut the paper in half.
Take one of the halves and roll the uncut portion together until you reach the end of the paper.
Now twist the rolled portion of the tassel.
Bend the tassel in half and twist the top portion together. If you find that the twist is not staying together, feel free to hot glue it.
Repeat this process with the remaining half. Make as many tassels as your heart desires, string them onto twine and hang them up as decor.
