A Little Jar of Goodness

2a

Many are praying that 2017 will be way better than 2016. In the final weeks of 2016, people poured their hearts out on social media, documenting all of the horrible things that happened in their lives. I was surprised. Out everything that occurred, nothing positive came out of 2016? Not even the small things?

My first blog post of the New Year is one that will encourage you throughout 2017. Count your blessings even in the midst of hardship with what I call A Little Jar of Goodness.

For this project you will need a jar, pen, and small sheets of paper. Each week write down positive things that happened onto the paper. List everything from going to the gym to accepting a job offer. Fold the paper and place it in the jar. Read over what you wrote whenever you need encouragement and you’ll learn to celebrate every blessing. Believe it, 2017 is going to be an amazing year!

Take 15 minutes today to read, write down and meditate on this scripture: “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11

  1. Sharifa,

I absolutely LOVE this idea! I also noticed at the end of 2016 that many people mainly spoke about the negative events that happened. This project is an inspiration and will help many people take joy in the little things. And your jar design is GORGEOUS 😍

    Stay lifted,
    Brittany
