Elegant Ribbon Brooch Pin DIY

Supplies

• ⅝” wide ribbon
• ⅞” wide ribbon
• Bead, rhinestone, or crystal embellishment
• Felt 
• Bar pins
• Scissors
• Ruler 
• Hot glue gun 

Instructions

Step One: Measure and cut

Start by cutting these items:

• three 6” pieces of the ⅝” ribbon
• one 6” piece of the ⅞” ribbon
• one 1” felt square

Step Two: Arrange and glue

Place one piece of the ⅝” ribbon on top of the ⅞” ribbon. Attach them in the center with a small drop of hot glue. You should now have two regular pieces of ribbon and one combined piece.

Hot glue the ends of each piece of ribbon to themselves to form small ovals. 

Glue the center of each individual oval together.

Glue one regular ribbon across the diagonal of the felt square. Then glue the second regular ribbon across the other diagonal, on top of the first ribbon. The ribbons should form an X shape. 

Glue the combined ribbon straight across the middle of the X.

Glue the embellishment to the center.

Step Three: Attach bar pin

Flip the ribbon brooch over and glue the bar pin to the back.
