Have you ever received a box of chocolates as a Valentine’s Day gift and automatically cringed? I know I have. I’m never sure if it will taste like actual chocolate or cardboard. People give what they are able to afford, so I’m not here to judge. However, if you want to give your loved one a box of chocolates without being too cheap or spending huge bucks, then do-it-yourself. Create a heart shaped box of chocolate with treats that they’ll love! Here’s how:
To make your box of chocolate, you will need a heart-shaped paper mache box, paint, scrapbook paper, tissue paper, and, of course, chocolate! You will also need a paintbrush, glue and a pair of scissors.
Note: I used a box from a previous project. That’s why it is already painted. Paper mache boxes are usually brown.
Use the heart box to trace a heart onto your scrapbook paper. Cut the heart from the paper and move it to the side.
Paint the box and let it dry. Then glue the heart onto the box’s top.
Once the glue dries, line the inside of the box with tissue paper and place chocolates inside of it.
