Christmas Countdown Sign Tutorial

11

So, just in case you did not know, December begins tomorrow. Yep! That means that the countdown to Christmas has begun. What better way to keep track of the days leading up to the big day than to create a Christmas Countdown Sign? I promise you it’s super easy to make. Let’s get started!

How To Make A Christmas Countdown Sign

1

Supplies

  • Chalkboard sign
  • Chalk markers
  • Regular chalk
  • Ribbon

Instructions

Step One: Replace Ribbon (Optional)

My chalkboard sign came with string for hanging, but it really wasn’t my style. I cut it off and replaced it with a more festive ribbon.

Step Two: Write Countdown Message

Take the chalk marker and use it to write “days until Christmas” or some variation of this phrase on the board. Be as creative with it as you want!

Step Three: Countdown!

Write the number of days left until Christmas on the board using the regular piece of chalk. Update this number every day.

*Note: Chalk marker is not removable with a regular eraser. You must use water or another cleaning agent to remove it. This way you don’t have to worry about it rubbing off when you update the number every day.*
