To be honest, I’ve never worn scrunchies. Still I always admired how they could effortlessly be stretched, twisted, and popped to hold hair in place. The process of learning how to make scrunchies was not nearly as easy as using them. It was like perfecting a recipe. Through much trial and error, I finally got the “formula” right! A few weeks ago, I came across the cutest Christmas tree headband at Forever 21. Instead of purchasing it, I challenged myself to make it!
Of course, I have to share the tutorial with you. This Christmas tree headband can be worn at a holiday party, while out shopping for gifts, or even on Christmas Day as you relax with family. It will put you in the Christmas spirit!
I have one Halloween tradition. That is to shop for half-priced candy on November 1st. I just don’t have the “let’s celebrate Halloween” bone in my body. Blame it on my parents. As a child, I was not allowed to dress up and go trick or treating. Instead I watched “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and passed out candy to the children who could participate.
I do, however, admire the effort that people put into their Halloween costumes. I have seen Starbucks Frappuccinos, donuts, Solange look-a-likes, and Emojis. The ideas are exceptionally creative.
Summer is right around the corner! That means music festivals, after church brunches, and beach outings. With all these activities to indulge in, you have to look cute! What better way than with a flower crown? It can easily be paired with a basic dress or t-shirt and jeans; taking your outfit from a 4.5 to a 10.
Sure, you can buy flower crowns from the store, but wouldn’t it be satisfying to create your own? They take a little effort, but I promise if you can make one, you can make twenty!
I recently updated my blog post, DIY Stud Earrings, and realized it had been a while since I made earrings. I decided to make a pair since I still had earring making supplies. I wanted this pair to be different from earrings I already owned. I had recently purchased a multi-pack of glitter tubes and was looking for a way to incorporate the glitter into my DIY projects. This was Continue reading “DIY Glitter Stud Earrings”→
I was a late bloomer to the ear piercing game. I didn’t get my ears pierced until a few weeks before starting my freshman year of college. I was so excited that I immediately purchased a bunch of earrings. Over the years that bunch has grown to a collection filled with earrings of all styles, shapes, sizes, and colors.
It wasn’t until I visited the jewelry section of the craft store that I realized I could make my own quality earrings. It wouldn’t take a lot of skill or time to create them either.
