When fall arrives you expect for the temperature to drop 10 to 20 degrees, leaves to change color and flutter from the trees, and for the local coffee shop to offer your favorite spiced drinks.
Well, fall began over a month ago and only one of those three things has happened here in Texas. I’ll give you a hint- it wasn’t the first two.
*Sigh*
I’m not going to complain because to be honest, if it were cold, I’d wish it were hot outside. I’ll let Mother Nature do her thing and patiently wait for cooler temperatures. In the meantime, I’ll craft up fall decorations to help me get into the fall spirit.
Whether fall is in full effect or you are experiencing a completely different season (like me), here are 3 Fall Décor Ideas to warm your home.
How To Make Fall Decorations
Mason Jar Candle Holder
For this DIY project you will need mason jars, white acrylic paint, tea lights, a paintbrush, and ribbon. Remove the jar’s top and paint it. Allow the jar to dry and wrap a piece of ribbon around the rim. Place the tea light inside.
Gold Stem Pumpkin
All you need for this project is a pumpkin (it can be real or fake) and a gold paint marker. Simply color the stem gold.
Inspirational Print Frame
You will need a picture frame, a piece of cardstock, a marker, and scissors. Remove the backing and glass cover from the picture frame. Trace the shape of the glass onto the cardstock. Then cut the shape from the cardstock and write an inspirational message on it. Put the picture frame back together.
Arrange your décor as a centerpiece or as separate pieces around your home.

Take 15 minutes today to read, write down, and meditate on this scripture: “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” Psalm 37:7
